This morning we are going to consider the testimony of John the Baptist; his unique role in the life of Jesus and in particular, the unique title he gave to Jesus.

The Testimony of John the Baptist

The Lamb of God

v What the lamb represented to them – Exodus 29:38-46;  12:1-14

v What the lamb symbolized – Numbers 28:3-4; Hebrews 10:1-3

What it means for us today

v Only His blood can save us – I Peter 1:18-19; Romans 3:23; 6:23

v Jesus is our Passover – I Corinthians 5:7-8; 11:23-32; I Peter 2:22-24

v He takes away the guilt of our sin – Hebrews 10:1-10; I John 1:7-8
