“The Healing Power of Jesus”

John 4:43 - 5:15

There are 8 miracles recorded in John’s Gospel. Each one reveals to us some unique aspect of Jesus’ power and deity. (John 20:30-31) This morning we’re going to consider two that demonstrate “The Healing Power of Jesus”.

Two Very Different Situations

Ø A father’s request for his dying child in another town – John 4:43-54

Ø A man who had been an invalid for 38 years – John 5:1-15

The Same Requirements for Both

Ø They had to trust  Jesus completely – Proverbs 3:5-6

Ø They had to do exactly what He said – Matthew 7:7-8

The Awesome Power of Jesus

Ø Jesus has the power to heal any  infirmity – Ephesians 3:20;  Romans 8:28

Ø Jesus has power over space  and time  – Mark 9:21-23; I Peter 5:7
