John 3:22-36

Denominationalism  is nothing new. It was a problem even in the days of Jesus.  John the Baptist dealt with it, the Apostles dealt with it, and we must learn to deal with it also. This morning we’re going to look at how John the Baptist handled the problem and consider some things we can do to promote Jesus  rather than “our church”.

It’s Not  About Us!

t  The spirit of jealousy and envy - John 3:22-26; Mark 9:38-41 

t  Understanding our place in God’s Kingdom - John 3:27-30; I Cor. 3:1-9

It’s All  About Jesus

t  Jesus is the “bridegroom” - John 3:31-36; Romans 14  

t  He must increase in our lives - John 3:30; Galatians 2:20

Some Practical Advice

t  Rejoice with those who find Jesus

t  Be happy to point people to Jesus

t  Be thankful you are included in Jesus
