“The Proof of His Teachings”

John 7:1-17

Jesus claimed to be God. He claimed that His teaching was the divine truth and that those who trust and obey would have eternal life. In this section of Scripture Jesus offers a simple test as “The Proof of His Teachings”.

Questioning  His Teachings

ü Jesus’ teachings are radical  – John 6:60;  Matthew 28:18-20

ü People questioned  His authority – John 7:5, 12, 14-15

Testing  His Teachings

ü The proof is in the pudding! – John 7:17;  8:31-32;  Psalm 34:8

ü Trust and Obey – Proverbs 3:5-6;  Matthew 16:24

Approving  His Teachings

ü They really work! – Romans 12:1-2;  John 10:10

ü They are the words of Eternal Life  - John 3:16;  6:68-69
